A może po prostu używasz windowsa i ie i coś ci namieszało
w rejestrze z prefiksami ?
Na początek sprawdź:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curren
tVersion\URL\Prefixes

W Operze wpisujesz "g foobar" i już pojawia Ci się lista stron z foobar.

I już po problemie... wyszukiwarka pięknie działa jako 'google.pl'. A więc
wszysko da się zrobić.
